Kolari is a family name, comes from the name of the village/farm land near badiadka in Kasargoad District of Kerala (the southernmost state of India.) Our forefathers migrated to this border area between Karnataka and Kerala about 300-400 years ago.
We are havyakas who have been mainly farming arecca, plaintain, balck pepper and cocco. We have currently settled all around the globe. You might run into one in Sullia, Puttur, Mangalore, Bangalore, Mumbai, Sharjah, UK or the US.
